Laura's Towel Topper

Materials Needed:
1 Hand Towel
1 skein worsted weight yarn
Size 10 metal crochet hook
Size F crochet hook
Yarn needle

This pattern was created to use an entire towel. You do not need to cut the towel in half. When I bought the towel, I left it folded the way the manufacturer folded it. Work across the folded part.

Using size 10 metal crochet hook, sc across top of towel, about ¼ inch from the top. (approx. 30 sc)

Switch to size F hook.

Row 1: Ch 1. Turn. Sc across.
Row 2: Repeat row 1.
Row 3: Ch 1. Sc2tog, sc across until last two sc. Sc2tog in last two sc.
Rows 4-9: Repeat row 3.
Row 10: Sc2tog across.
Row 11: Repeat row 3.
Rows 12-31: Work even. (6 sc)
Row 32: 2 sc, ch 2, 2 sc.
Rows 33-35: 6 sc.
Row 36: Sc2tog, 2 sc, sc2tog.
Row 37: Sc2tog twice.
Finish off.
Sew button onto towel topper.
